Notes de dégustation
The History of Roku Gin
Suntory has been distilling in Japan since 1899, and making gin since 1936. Roku was introduced in 2017 built on the idea that shaped our whisky: that a spirit should taste of where it comes from.
We wait for sakura in the spring and yuzu in winter. The Japanese call it shun. Honouring an ingredient at its peak, and only at its peak. It's Roku is made at the Japanese gin distillery in Osaka, where each botanical is distilled on its own terms. It takes longer. No botanical has to compete with another, which is the whole point. Crafted Cocktails for Roku Gin
Roku Gin Fizz
If you're going to make one drink with Roku Gin, make it a Roku Gin Fizz.. One of the most refreshing gin cocktails in the Roku range, the Roku Gin Fizz uses fresh lime juice to highlight Roku's signature botanicals, holding them in perfect balance.
Light and celebratory, it's the one to reach for when the mood calls for a little sparkle. Shake it long, serve it tall and cold, and let the six seasonal botanicals carry the drink from first sip to last.
Roku Gin & Tonic
A clean, bright serve that lets Roku's Japanese botanicals speak for themselves. Pour it over plenty of ice with a delicate tonic and garnish with fresh ginger to lift the yuzu and sakura at the heart of the gin.
Clean, bright and endlessly refreshing, it's the simplest way to savor the seasons in a single glass, on a quiet evening or at the center of a celebration
Roku Negroni
A Japanese take on the Italian classic. Where the Negroni leans bittersweet, Roku brings the bright citrus of yuzu and the gentle, tingling spice of sansho pepper to the balance of vermouth and bitters, for a stirred drink with real depth.
This is the slow serve, built for sipping. Stir it over a single large cube, garnish with an orange twist, and let Roku's botanicals reveal themselves layer by layer. Elegant, contemplative and quietly Japanes.
