The Hibiki 21 Years Old is handcrafted by The House of Suntory with the nature and spirit of Japan in mind. The bottle is shaped like a prism with 24 facets, each representing a season of the traditional Japanese calendar.
A prestigious blend that unites the single malts from the Yamazaki and Hakushu Distilleries with smooth grain whiskies from Chita Distillery is aged for a minimum 21 years in American bourbon oak casks and European sherry casks, culminating in the special marriage of Japanese Mizunara oak. Hibiki 21 is crafted by blending exceptional single malts from the Yamazaki and Hakushu distilleries with smooth grain whiskies from the Chita distillery, where they are aged for at least 21 years before being masterfully assembled and bottled.
A Hibiki 21 bottle should stand upright, stay in its original box and rest somewhere cool and unchanging. Upright, because the whisky's strength would work against the seal over time. Boxed, because light draws out color and aroma slowly enough to go unnoticed. Cool and steady, because sudden change matters more than warmth.
